Field Staff

DGI Geoscience is looking for a field technician to join our team! DGI Geoscience is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in premium borehole geophysical services for mining, exploration, geotechnical and environmental applications. We are seeking energetic and resourceful applicants for the Geophysical Operator position for immediate and future hiring requirements. Formal relevant education and field experience is an asset, although technical training will be provided. DGI Geoscience is a team oriented company, with continuous growth leading to considerable opportunities for advancement within the company.

The Geophysical Operator will be primarily responsible for field data acquisition, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting state-of-the-art borehole geophysical equipment. Additional responsibilities include preliminary assessment of data quality, application of QA/QC procedures and interaction with contractor and client representatives. This occupation is well suited for individuals who enjoy travelling, the outdoors and a dynamic and exciting work place. DGI is a growing company and there are opportunities for advancement to senior field staff, project management and data processing positions.

This person will be required to work remotely, across the USA, Canada, Mexico and internationally, at client mine and exploration sites. The position offers the ability to travel and is ideally suited for those who are motivated to join a team dedicated to providing innovative applications of advanced technologies. Preference will be given to applicants capable of speaking French, Spanish or Portuguese. The position is based in at our Operations Centre in Barrie Ontario.


Valid Drivers Licence
Valid Passport
Willingness to travel
First Aid + CPR
Work independently and remotely
Have strong teamwork and problem solving skills
Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Capability to speak second language – French, Spanish or Portugese

Not Necessary, but a Bonus:

Bachelors or College degree in geosciences or related field
